In its commitment to carry on with the program, Najm has launched its “Safe Road” initiative to distribute 500,000 Iftar meals at the traffic lights of main roads and intersections within densely populated neighborhoods. It collaborated with the National Center for Social Responsibility, demonstrating the company’s resolve to give back to society. With activities organized to run throughout Ramadan in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam, the initiative aims to minimize the occurrence of traffic accidents before Iftar since statistics have shown an uptick in accidents during the rush hour leading up to Iftar. The initiative will be carried out by a group of professional volunteers who have been expertly trained in safety and security. It has so far proven successful due to the high number of distribution points at numerous traffic stops and main streets.
